What is Crown Affair?

Crown Affair is a haircare and beauty brand founded by Dianna Cohen on the belief that loving your hair begins with understanding how to care for it. Crown Affair aims to create a space where everyone can access the guidance, tools, and community they need to redefine their relationship with their hair, all on their own.

Where can I buy Crown Affair products?

Our products are available in the US and Canada at crownaffair.com, as well as at Sephora, Gee Beauty, Goop, and Violet Grey.

Are your products and packaging sustainable?

Each of our products are made as sustainably as possible and are intended to last for a long period of time. All Crown Affair packaging is recyclable, reusable and compostable.

Where are your products produced?

Our products are made with materials sourced from all over the world. We work with the best craftsmen and chemists from Italy, Switzerland, Japan, and Korea to create clean formulas and beautiful tools that transform your everyday hair routine into a true ritual.

Are your products cruelty free and vegan?

We never test on animals, and all of our products are 100% cruelty-free! All of our products are vegan, except for Brushes No. 001 and No. 003, which are made with boar bristles, and The Scrunchie No. 002, which is made from silkworms.

Are your products sulfate and paraben free?

Yes! All of our products are sulfate and paraben free. You can read our full no list here.

Our team has been working diligently to navigate the current macroeconomic environment while staying true to what Crown Affair stands for. Due to increased tariffs and rising costs of global materials—particularly for our European-made products—we made the difficult decision to adjust our pricing. This ensures we can continue delivering products with the high-quality ingredients and craftsmanship that genuinely transform your hair and last. Shipping, Returns & Everything in Between

Why is my order taking longer than expected to ship?

We’re currently experiencing a higher volume of orders than usual, which is causing some delays in processing and shipping. Our team is working as quickly as possible to get your order shipped out.

Rest assured, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking details as soon as your order is on its way.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions in the meantime.

What is your return and refund policy?

Items eligible for returns must be received by our team within 30 days of delivery in order to receive a refund. Returns received after this timeframe will receive store credit. To initiate a return, please use our returns and exchanges portal here. All returns will be charged a handling fee which is subtracted from your total refund. Your handling fee is subject to your order value. Refunds reappear in your bank account within 5-10 business days of processing.

We reserve the right to decline returns or refunds at our discretion. To maintain a fair experience for all customers, we may limit or refuse return eligibility for accounts with repeated, excessive, or suspicious return activity.

What is your exchange policy?

If you receive any products that are damaged or are not of the highest quality, we will offer you a replacement free of charge. If you’d like to exchange products just out of preference, that’s ok too — we’re happy to accommodate. Use our returns and exchanges portal here. Please prodive details and we will be happy to help process your request.

I want to cancel or edit my order.

Please contact care@crownaffair.com. We will do our best to accommodate your requests but cannot guarantee that we will be able to edit your order beyond.

How can I check the status of my order?

Upon shipment of your package, you will receive an email containing your package shipment information and a link to track the package.

What happens if my order is marked as delivered but I can't find it?

Once your order has been marked as delivered by the carrier, Crown Affair is not responsible for any lost or stolen packages. We kindly encourage customers to ensure that their delivery location is secure and to monitor their tracking information closely.

If you believe your package is missing after being marked as delivered, we recommend reaching out to the carrier directly to file a claim. While we’re unable to offer refunds or replacements for orders confirmed as delivered, our team is happy to support you by providing any documentation needed to assist in the carrier’s investigation.

What payment forms do you accept?

We accept all major Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover), Paypal, and GooglePay.

Do you accept gift cards?

Yes, we do accept gift cards as a form of payment. You can purchase them here.

Do you offer a sampling program?

We do not currently offer a formal sampling program at Crown Affair.

Do you offer any referral discounts or programs?

At this time, we do not offer a referral program or referral discount. However, this is something we are considering and working on for the future. Stay tuned, and in the meantime, brush your hair!

Where do you ship your products?

We currently ship our products to customers in the U.S, including Alaska and Hawaii, and Canada.

Unfortunately, our Signature Scent cannot be shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico.

We are working on international expansion to make sure that those living outside of the U.S/Canada can enjoy our rituals soon!

What are my options for shipping?

We offer three shipping options: Standard (5-10 Business Days) for both U.S and Canada orders. Rush (1-2 Business Days), and Next Day (1 Business Day) are offered for US orders only. We currently offer free standard shipping on all orders over $75 for U.S orders and over $100 for Canada orders.

Orders that are placed after 12pm EST will be processed on the following business day.

Subscriptions

How does the subscription program work?

1. Choose the formulas you’d like to subscribe to on the “Subscribe and Save” [page](/content/collections/subscription "https://www.crownaffair.com/collections/subscription"/index.html).

2. Select the delivery preference aligned with your rituals— 2,3, 4 or 6 month frequencies.

3. Manage, adjust, or cancel your subscriptions at any time by logging into your account or Recharge portal. We will email you 5 days prior to your billing date. Please make updates to your subscription prior to the billing date, or we may be unable to adjust your order.

4. You’ll receive 10% off your order with each subscription.

Which products are included in the subscription?

All formulas are eligible for recurring subscription. Tools, custom sets, gift sets, lifestyle items, limited edition items and minis are excluded from this program.

My item(s) is out of stock! How will this affect my subscription?

We will delay your next subscription charge until the items are back in stock. You will receive a notification informing you about the out-of-stock and the next charge date adjustment.

Can I apply a discount code to my next subscription order?

Because subscription orders are already discounted, discount codes cannot stack with subscription orders.

What if I need my next order sooner than the scheduled date?

You can adjust your subscriptions any time by logging into your account or Recharge portal. If you need your order sooner than the frequency listed, reach out directly to  care@crownaffair.com.
